On April 14, 2021, Steel River Group announced a formal partnership with Headversity, a Calgary-based workplace mental care and resilience platform, to support the mental wellbeing of employees across the organization.

The partnership came during a time when many workplaces and communities were navigating the continued impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, including increased stress, uncertainty, and mental health challenges.

As an Indigenous-owned company, Steel River Group recognized that many Indigenous communities and employees were experiencing additional pressures during this period, making access to proactive support more important than ever.

Through the partnership, Steel River Group employees gained access to tools and resources focused on:

  • Mental resilience and stress management

  • Workplace wellbeing support

  • Personal growth and self-awareness

  • Healthy coping strategies

  • Ongoing access to modern mental care resources

The collaboration also reflected shared values between both organizations, recognizing that mental wellbeing is essential not only in the workplace, but across every aspect of life.

By introducing Headversity to staff and the broader Steel River ecosystem, the company reinforced its commitment to building a people-first culture rooted in care, support, and long-term wellbeing.

This initiative marked another example of Steel River Group expanding beyond traditional business priorities to invest directly in the health and success of its people.
