Chief Development Officer, Steel River Group

As Chief Development Officer at Steel River Group, Brock plays a pivotal role in building, nurturing, and sustaining the partnerships that make up the Steel River Ecosystem. His focus is on developing long-term, mutually beneficial relationships between Indigenous communities, industry partners, and internal subsidiaries, ensuring that every collaboration is rooted in trust, transparency, and shared value.

Whether it’s helping to navigate joint ventures, advance Nation-to-Nation economic opportunities, or provide insight into new business verticals, Brock brings a unique ability to connect people, ideas, and opportunities that move the company, and its partners, forward.

Before joining Steel River Group, Brock built a diverse and practical foundation through roles in banking, fabrication, and agriculture. This hands-on, cross-industry experience allows him to see opportunities from multiple perspectives and engage stakeholders from both corporate and community backgrounds with equal ease.

Brock holds a Bachelor of Management from the University of Lethbridge, where he honed his skills in strategic thinking, research, and operational planning. These skills now support Steel River Group’s mission of advancing Indigenous prosperity and economic sustainability. His analytical mindset and commitment to data-driven decision-making contribute to the company’s ability to scale partnerships and corporate initiatives with purpose and precision.

Outside of work, Brock is a proud husband and father who values time spent with his family.
